FAQs – AI courses for Senior IT Professionals

What do we mean when we say designed for senior IT professionals?
In this course, we not only cover Agentic AI concepts and engineering (how to build Agentic AI applications), but also talk about Indusry best practices for deploying the applications in production
At the same time, we also discuss AI specific management topics.
What Industry Best Practices are covered in this course
In 3 sessions, we will talk about Industry best practices for
- RAG in Production
- AI Agents & MCP in Production
- Voice AI Agents in Production
You will not find these in any other course (including from top colleges like IITs/ IIMs)
Do I need a data science or machine learning background?
No, you do not need a formal background in data science or machine learning.
How is this course designed?
This program is designed for experienced IT professionals who want to:
- understand how AI systems actually work in production
- make architectural, evaluation, and leadership decisions
- lead AI initiatives without becoming data scientists
Core AI concepts are explained only to the extent needed to reason about real-world AI systems, trade-offs, and limitations.
If your goal is to build, evaluate, or lead AI systems, this program is designed for you.
What are the prerequisites?
For technical courses, the prerequisite is Python. You should be comfortable reading and understanding Python code.
For non-technical courses, it’s enthusiasm for learning new technology.
Why choose this program over courses from IITs, IIMs, or MIT?
Short answer:
This program is designed for professionals who value real learning. Our focus is on helping you build and lead production-grade Agentic AI systems
Long answer:
For top institutes, an AI course is just an additional course they offer, but for us, this is our core offering.
Our reputation depends on whether you actually learn something useful and can apply it to real-world AI systems.
That difference matters.
We built the program from first principles, specifically for senior IT professionals who need to understand AI deeply enough to implement, evaluate, and lead AI initiatives within their organisations.
And unlike a static academic program, this is an evolving program.
AI engineering changes rapidly. New models, frameworks, protocols, security vulnerabilities, evaluation techniques, and production patterns emerge continuously. We therefore update the course regularly and add new topics and industry best practices as the field evolves.

What does “Bring Your Own Problem Statement” mean?
In many courses, capstone projects have become a checkbox exercise.
They are often generic, pre-defined, and disconnected from real work.
In this program, you don’t solve a made-up problem.
You bring a real problem you are currently facing in your role, such as:
- an AI use case you want to validate,
- a system you want to design,
- or a business or technical challenge involving AI.
During the course, you can work on that exact problem, with guidance on architecture, trade-offs, and implementation.
The goal is simple:
You should finish the program with something directly useful in your job, not just a certificate or a demo project.
Check out the article for more details – https://www.aimletc.com/bring-your-own-problem-statement/
Will session recordings be made available for later viewing
Yes.
What about query support and resolution?
This is an instructor-led live class program. You can ask questions in class.
Is the instructor recognised by any top institute or government body?
Nikhilesh Tayal is recognised by Google as a Google Developer Expert (AI).
The Google Developer Expert (GDE) program is a highly selective global recognition awarded to practitioners with deep technical expertise and proven real-world impact in their field.
This recognition is based on technical contribution, industry work, and community impact, not paid affiliations or certifications.
Currently, there are only 87 GDEs in India.

Yes. This is a practical and rigorous program.
While the overall duration is short, the curriculum is end-to-end and requires active effort. It includes:
- 30+ hands-on labs
- 40+ practical, real-world applications
Beyond live sessions, you should expect to spend 2–3 additional hours per session on exercises, labs, and building applications.
By the end of the course, you will be able to design and build AI-powered applications, not just understand concepts theoretically.
Will I get extra support if I need help understanding certain topics?
Yes. Support is available when needed.
This program is taught in a small, focused format, and if you need additional clarification on specific topics, we can address it on a case-by-case basis.
The goal is to ensure you truly understand the concepts and can apply them in your work, not just move through the syllabus mechanically.
Why did you start teaching AI, and how did this course come about?
I have been teaching in different forms since 2005. Over the years, I have taught subjects ranging from Maths, coding and Entrepreneurship, across students and working professionals.
When I later learned AI through well-known courses and self-study, I realised that many AI concepts could be explained much more simply. The complexity often came from how AI was taught, not from the concepts themselves.
I began simplifying AI ideas and teaching them in engineering colleges and technical talks, many of which were attended by senior IT professionals. During these interactions, I kept hearing the same questions:
- Are there any courses for a senior professional like me?
- Which AI topics are actually relevant for experienced professionals?
Initially, I pointed people to existing popular courses. But after reviewing what was available, it became clear that most programs were not designed for senior professionals. They were either too academic, too generic, or disconnected from real-world decision-making.
That gap is what led me to build dedicated AI courses for senior IT professionals, focused on clarity, relevance, and real-world application.
I am 40+ years old, should I learn AI?
It seems there is no relationship between age and learning AI. We have most of the learners with 15+ years of experience and some even with 25+ years of experience.
Their industry knowledge, system thinking, and decision-making experience often give them an advantage when learning how to apply AI effectively.
How is this different from learning AI through YouTube?
Most online content explains pieces of AI. This program provides a structured, end-to-end understanding of how modern AI systems work, what matters, and what can safely be ignored.
Will this program help me make better AI decisions at work?
Yes. The program is designed to improve how you evaluate AI use cases, understand trade-offs, identify risks, and guide teams or vendors more effectively. The focus is on decision readiness, not just knowledge.
I know basic Generative AI, can we skip that part?
Yes, we can directly start with Agentic AI part.
Can the price be negotiable?
We follow standard and transparent pricing – https://www.aimletc.com/ai-ml-etc-course-offerings-pricing/.
If you are currently facing a genuine financial hardship, you may write to us; we do review such requests on a case-by-case basis.
Do you have a weekday or weekend batch? What are the timings?
There are both weekday and weekend batches.
We can launch the course as per your availability.
I am a non-technical senior professional and only want to learn AI tools. Can you help me with that?
This program is not the right fit for that goal.
We teach AI as a technology and system, focusing on how it works, how it can be applied in real business and engineering contexts, and how to make informed decisions around it.
The objective is to help learners build, evaluate, or lead AI implementation, not just use individual tools.
If you are specifically looking for short-term training on AI tools or productivity software, there are many good tool-focused courses available elsewhere.
That is not what we do.
What management and leadership topics are covered in the program?
The program focuses on AI-specific leadership and management topics, rather than generic management frameworks.
These include:
- making informed build vs buy decisions for AI systems
- evaluating AI feasibility and limitations
- managing AI risk, cost, and failure modes
- aligning AI initiatives with business goals
- leading teams working on AI systems
Our blog regularly explores these topics in depth. You can browse relevant articles here:
https://www.aimletc.com/blogs/
Is AI difficult to learn?
AI is just another technology.
Like learning any new skill, whether it’s a technology, a framework, or even a musical instrument, it requires focused effort for a period of time.
So, if we apply ourselves for a few weeks with the right frame of mind, it should not be difficult to learn AI
Can the program fee be paid in instalments?
Yes. The program follows a pay-as-you-progress instalment model. There is a monthly instalment option as well
Details on instalments and current pricing are available on the pricing page:
