So, when NOT to use Jev?

After a long time (in AI world even a few weeks seem long :D), something is making waves and thats – Jev

Unless you have been off LinkedIn or social media, you must be knowing Jev is a system one AI model that helps in decision making. 

You also be knowing that you dont have to replace LLMs but use Jev to offload LLM’s decision making capabilities to it.

However, there are still scenarios where Jev can’t/ shouldn’t be used

1. Not for complex reasoning

You still need LLMs for that

2. Jev’s accuracy is still not independently established

Remember its still an AI model. So if its assigning 90% score, how do you know that’s correct. Calibration ≠ correctness, right?

TypeSafe is itself recommending validating Jev against your own labelled data and calibrating thresholds for your use case. 

3. Everything is closed source

So, all those privacy/ data confidentiality concerns still apply

Definitely, Jev is technically interesting, but just wait for sometime to get it validated before you make changes to your architecture.
